Rachel Bailey Studio wins at BBC Gardeners World Live 2025! The Studio collaborated with Design it Landscapes and other APL landscape contractors and were awarded Platinum and win Best large show garden and best construction for their Association of Professional Landscapers ‘Where there’s water, there’s life’ at BBC Gardeners World live!
We are absolutely over the moon! Not only have we been awarded the highest award for our show garden, but also winning both Best show garden and best construction – we could not be more delighted. Our joint success is a combination of huge amounts of work over the last 6 months along with fantastic sponsors and partnerships with plant nurseries and suppliers. Together, this goes to show what happens when a registered and professional design studio partners with a professional and accredited landscape contractors, Design it landscapes – something quite special and magical.
Roger Platt, the chair of the show garden assessment panel said “In every area, this garden excels. The design, construction, landscaping and planting are of a very high standard and the garden has a lovely ambience. It demonstrates water collection and the green roof pergola is both imaginative and practical. There were some real moments of joy for the assessors as we discovered examples of the team’s attention to detail. I’m thrilled that visitors will see an exceptional garden which showcases the standards and skills that the APL demands of its member companies.” Mark Gregory, one of the judging panel also added “a feeling you cannot describe when you walk onto a magical space…. the detailing was sublime”.
