Planting design
WHAT WE CAN DO
Focusing on planting design for Scotland, our planting design service provides you with an holistic sustainable planting scheme that offers the life and soul to your garden – whether for a front or back garden, large landscape, planters, entrance way or courtyard in Glasgow, Argyll or Central Scotland that:
- Revitalises tired borders and/or creates new ones
- Rejuvenates existing overgrown plants in your garden and integrates them in the new scheme
- Creates an entire scheme for a newly built garden
- Addresses challenges in your garden (eg. unsightly views, poor soil, uninteresting plant selection)
When plants are suited to the conditions of your garden and soil, plants bring the life and soul to your garden, giving year-round drama, atmosphere and wildlife habitat above and in the soil. Plants that are carefully selected also form an ecological community, creating less ‘work’ even as the garden changes over time, helping address the climate challenges we face whilst improving your health.
WHAT YOU WILL GET
With our expert knowledge in the conditions and ecology of Scotland, we will work with you to design a planting scheme that:
- Works with your location
- Suits the environmental conditions of your garden and soil
- Offers habitat for wildlife
- Forms a community of plants that will thrive
Our team can source high quality plants from trusted plant nurseries in Scotland and beyond to bring your planting design to life. We can also plant them together – we love sharing our knowledge – or plant them on your behalf.
Following the successful planting of your garden, we give you a written guide for looking after your garden. We can also work closely with you to guide the care and development of your dynamic garden as it grows with time – see our aftercare service.
Planting design in Scotland
We are a small award-winning landscape and garden design studio based in the west of Scotland and accredited with the Society of Garden and Landscape Designers.
Rachel established the practice because she believes that gardens and landscapes, when designed, built, and managed with sustainable ecological principles and care, can offer a haven for people and wildlife and help restore our natural world.
Committed to this vision, our small, professional and friendly team has created everything from small courtyard gardens to large expansive landscapes thriving off a collaborative approach with like-minded clients, professionals and multi-disciplinary teams. We have enjoyed working with a diverse range of clients, including private homeowners, community groups, and commercial businesses.
As a team, we continue to grow our knowledge through professional development, adding new perspectives and creative ecological solutions.
We are fully insured for public liability and professional indemnity and are registered with the Science and Advice for Scottish Agriculture (SASA) for plant passports, as required by law.
